Bitumen is one of the most frequently requested export lines from South Africa, largely because road programmes across East, West and Central Africa run on imported binder. We supply penetration grades against a producer certificate of analysis and load either in new 180–200 kg steel drums for container shipment or in bulk bitutainers where the destination has heated discharge facilities.
Because binder specification is tied directly to climate and pavement design, we ask buyers to confirm the grade and the governing standard on enquiry. Where a consultant has specified a grade we do not hold, we will quote the nearest compliant alternative rather than substitute without notice.
Drummed cargo is typically palletised or floor-loaded depending on the destination port's handling. We confirm the loading plan and net tonnage per container in the quotation so your landed cost calculation is accurate before the contract is signed.
