Cutback Bitumen MC-30
Medium-curing cutback bitumen MC-30 for priming granular bases ahead of asphalt surfacing.
MC-30 is the lightest of the medium-curing cutbacks and is used almost exclusively as a prime. Its low viscosity lets it penetrate a compacted granular base and bind the surface fines so the subsequent asphalt layer adheres properly.
Because it contains a petroleum distillate cutter, MC-30 is a flammable product and ships as dangerous goods. We confirm the UN classification, packing group and the declaration requirements for your routing before booking the container.
Where environmental regulation at destination restricts solvent-based primes, an emulsion prime is often the compliant alternative and we can quote that instead.
