Detergent and food grade sodium tripolyphosphate for builder function in powder detergents and as a moisture retention aid in food processing.
STPP does two jobs in a detergent powder: it sequesters calcium and magnesium so the surfactant can work in hard water, and it helps keep the powder free-flowing. In hard-water markets it is close to indispensable.
We supply detergent grade as standard and food grade to order. The distinction is not cosmetic — food grade carries tighter heavy-metal and fluoride limits, and the two cannot be substituted.
Phosphate use in detergents is restricted in some jurisdictions. Confirm your destination's regulatory position before ordering; where phosphate is restricted we can quote zeolite-based alternatives.
