Anionic surfactant at 96% active content, the principal cleaning base for powder and liquid laundry detergent manufacture.
LABSA is the workhorse of powder detergent production. Blenders neutralise it with caustic soda to form the sodium salt in the slurry, which is why LABSA and caustic soda are usually bought together and often on the same shipment.
The specification points buyers care about are active content, free oil and colour. High free oil reduces detergency efficiency; colour matters where the finished product is sold on appearance. Both appear on the batch certificate of analysis.
It is a viscous dark brown liquid that thickens considerably in cold weather. Buyers discharging in cooler climates should plan drum warming, and we flag this on the technical data sheet.

Yes, and most detergent blenders do. We can quote both on one shipment and align the volumes to your slurry formulation.
Why does free oil content matter?
High free oil reduces detergency and can affect powder flow. We quote to a maximum of 2.0% and confirm the actual figure on the batch COA.
