South Africa holds the world's largest manganese reserves, and lumpy ore from the Kalahari basin is a staple feed for ferroalloy smelters in Asia and the Gulf. It is one of the most consistently available mineral lines we quote.
Contracts settle on assay: Mn content, the Mn:Fe ratio, and penalty elements — phosphorus, silica, alumina — which all carry price adjustments. We quote an indicative range and settle on an independent laboratory result agreed by both parties.
Sizing matters as much as grade. Smelters specify a size range and penalise excessive fines, so we state the screening basis and the fines allowance in the offer.

Can you ship break-bulk rather than containers?
Yes, for parcels large enough to justify a charter. Below that, container lots with bulk liners are more economical.
What penalty elements apply?
Phosphorus, silica and alumina typically carry price adjustments. The scale is set out explicitly in the quotation.
